Inert gas is colorless, odorless, electrically non conductive gas with a density approximately the same as air. Inert gas is stored as pressurized gas within the cylinder assembly. When discharged into a protected space, it is clear and does not obscure vision. It has zero ozone depleting potential and zero global warming potential. It believes the best kind of suppression agent is one that quickly suppresses a fire while it leaves the smallest and healthiest footprint on the environment. Inert gases like nitrogen and argon are naturally occurring in the air they are just as effective as man-made chemicals when putting out a fire but they are safer for both humans and sensitive environments. Inert gases are just that inert meaning they do not react with anything in the environment. They do not conduct electricity there are no chemical or toxic byproducts they do not cause harm if inhaled by humans evacuating the fire zone. They are safe for sensitive equipment and circuitry unlike water based systems there are no residues left behind these naturally occurring gases just safely dissipate back into nature.
We supply and install water mist systems and Dubai and in other Emirates of UAE. We also do the maintenance of water mist system in UAE
WORKING PRINCIPLE OF INERT GAS SYSTEM
Technically speaking inert gases form what is called a total flooding gas system meaning that on discharge they flood the room with inert gas in about 60 to 120 seconds displacing the oxygen that a fire needs to sustain combustion. Fire cannot burn when the oxygen level drops below 15% in nature the normal oxygen level is about 19%. Your system installer will measure the area of your protection zone to calculate the correct volume of inert gas needed to displace oxygen to about 12% below the fire threshold. Importantly humans can comfortably breathe until the oxygen falls below 10% meaning no health risk to occupants during discharge.
Unlike other chemical agents mixtures of different densities of inert gases can be used to target the protection depending on the geometry of the room and where the fire risk is located. For instance if the fire risk is general IG100. 100 percent nitrogen is the best choice. With a density similar to where it disperses evenly around the room but if the fire risk was more towards the floor a higher density inert gas such as argon IG01 one would be useful. Because higher density gas is heavier so it tends to concentrate closer to the floor. Choosing the right inert gas mixture for your protection zone will provide better faster suppression
TYPES OF INERT GASES
1.IG0
Argon (IG-010) is inert gas naturally present in the atmosphere, therefore its green-house effect is nil and its ozone layer depletion potential is zero. It is chemically inert, non-conductive, colorless, odorless and flavorless. (IG-01) is non-corrosive and may be used at normal temperatures with such materials as nickel, steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, bronze and plastics.
Argon (IG-01) suppression systems are based in the principle of reducing the oxygen concentration inside the protected hazard. The oxygen concentration is minimized by the application of Argon (IG-01) until it reaches a level where combustion is no longer supported. Each system is designed to decrease oxygen to a specific level. When discharged, Argon (IG-01) is quickly and uniformly distributed within the enclosure, achieving design concentration in 60 seconds
1.IG100
Nitrogen (IG-100) is inert gas naturally present in the atmosphere, therefore its green-house effect is nil and its ozone layer depletion potential is zero. It is chemically inert, non-conductive, colorless, odorless and flavorless. Nitrogen (IG-100) is non-corrosive and may be used at normal temperatures with such materials as nickel, steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, bronze and plastics.

1.IG55
IG-55 is a gas made up of a mix of equal parts: 50% argon (IG-01) and 50% nitrogen (IG-100). Its components are found naturally in the
Environment, so there is no global warming effect and it does not destroy the ozone layer. Its density is similar to that of air and both argon
And nitrogen are clean, non-corrosive, colorless and insipid gases, so they offer great flexibility in adapting to all actuation systems, since
They can be used at normal temperatures with materials such as nickel, steel, stainless steel, copper, bronze, tin, etc.
1.IG541
IG-541 is a clean agent fire extinguishing system using an inert gas (IG-541) consisting of 52% Nitrogen, 40% Argon and 8% Carbon Dioxide
And is used in total flooding systems. Has become widely accepted as the best performing, cost effective, and environmentally
Friendly inert gas fire extinguishing agent, offering extended hold times and great flexibility in design. The patented pressure regulating
Discharge valve used in the system utilizes a superior valve design to automatically regulate the pressure of the extinguish at discharge,
providing an ideal discharge pressure and maintaining a constant flow rate throughout the discharge.
WHY INERT SYSTEM IN YOUR BUILDING
It’s safe for humans, buildings contents, our environment and electronics. That’s one of the main reasons to use it. That the extinguishing
Agent itself does not become toxic and dangerous about safety to our environment making sure that the solution for the fire doesn’t create
other problems. They are safer for both humans and sensitive environments. Safe to breathe no residue nothing to clean up no toxic
Byproducts nonreactive and non-corrosive just nature that returns to nature interrex technology saves you time and money configuration
